Opening the research

A read-only agent that answers questions about what Crosswake is running right now, and the limits built into it.
Every figure Crosswake publishes comes from files our own software writes while it runs. The assistant, available on every page and on its own page at /ask, lets you question those files directly instead of reading a page we wrote earlier: is the collector healthy, what is a strategy holding, how has it done since it went live, what did the last market update say.
The agent reads the collector health, every live strategy state, the signal log, the four-hour market snapshot, the strategy protocols that were frozen before testing, and the text we have published publicly. It reports the record as it stands at the moment you ask. Questions with nothing to do with our data are answered too, from general knowledge.
The agent is read-only. It has no tool that can place an order, change a strategy, write a file, spend money or run a command, so no question and no text inside the data can talk it into one. It never gives trade advice, price targets or predictions.
When the question is about our data, it answers from what it read, with the units and the as-of time, and it separates live paper results from backtests and from out-of-sample tests. It never invents a Crosswake figure, date, position or result. Anything else, a term, a concept, general market context, it answers from general knowledge and does not dress that up as something the record shows.
A hosted language model turns the facts it read into readable prose and answers general questions itself. It never supplies a Crosswake number of its own.
The agent runs on the same server as the data, inside the same read-only service the dashboard uses, so its answers come from local files rather than a copy. It is reachable only through the access token our own front end holds, and no visitor ever sees that token.
It is rate limited per visitor and in total, capped in how many steps it may take and how long it may run, and it never holds a conversation open between visits. Nothing you ask is stored, and there is no account to create.
Each answer that came from our data lists which parts of the record it read, so you can check the claim where it came from: the strategy record, the signal log, the market snapshot, the frozen rules, or the posts we published. An answer that needed no data lists nothing.
Everything the agent reports about our record is paper trading research. Crosswake places no real orders, and nothing it says is financial advice.
